Press Release Body: Exton, PA 11/09/07 - Margie Gunn, owner of Chesapeake Ribbons (www.ChesapeakeRibbons.com), has partnered with Wigs 4 Kids, The Johns Hopkins Children's Center, and the Devereux C.A.R.E.S. School to help children in need.
Chesapeake Ribbons offers custom crafted barrettes, bows, headbands, ribbon belts and watches, burp clothes and key fobs to customers and causes. With her strong desire to give back and make a difference in the lives of children, owner Margie Gunn regularly donates her custom products to Wigs 4 Kids, The Johns Hopkins Children's Center and the Devereux C.A.R.E.S. School. Ms. Gunn adds, "I have always had an interest in giving back to the community and with a commitment to helping others these organizations seemed like a great fit for Chesapeake Ribbons."
Wigs 4 Kids will be giving the Chesapeake Ribbons product donation of custom-made hair accessories to new children when they get their wigs, and as part of their gift bags at the annual 'Wigs 4 Kids' Gala. "Wigs 4 Kids main focus is on cancer patients and includes other young people with similar appearance related challenges that cause hair loss such as:, alopecia, trichotillomania, lupus, hydrocephalus, burns and other disorders,"( Wigs 4 Kids). A native of Maryland, it only seemed natural to Margie to also select an organization close to home. Therefore she has also teamed up with The Johns Hopkins Children's Center where they will be using Chesapeake Ribbons stretchy headbands as Bingo prizes to children staying in their center. The kids play Bingo via television every Wednesday. The Johns Hopkins Children's Center "offers one of the most comprehensive pediatric medical programs in the country, from performing emergency trauma surgery, to finding causes of and treatments for childhood cancers, to delivering a child's good bill of health," (The Johns Hopkins Children's Center). Devereux CARES (Childhood Autism Research and Education Services) is an approved private school, for children who have been diagnosed with Autism, Asperger's Syndrome, or Pervasive Developmental Disorder-Not Otherwise Specified, located in Downingtown, PA. Ms. Gunn adds, "As a former Primary Instructional Coordinator at Devereux CARES, I feel that it is only appropriate to donate Chesapeake Ribbons' Autism products to CARES throughout the year. By donating my products to the school, they are able to sell these unique gifts at their Annual PTO Fundraiser, booth at the Philadelphia Walk Now Event, and other various fundraisers throughout the year."
Chesapeake Ribbons is a home-based craft company in Exton, Pennsylvania. Ms. Gunn has been actively involved in various social networking groups where she would often hear other mothers need for practical, yet stylish hair accessories for their children. Margie decided to utilize her creativity and sense of style to design hair and other accessories that are practical and stylish, but won't break the bank. Margie is proud to have the opportunity to support Wigs 4 Kids, The Johns Hopkins Children's Center and the Devereux C.A.R.E.S. School.
